Oldest

Today I wrote a letter to a college on behalf of my Oldest. I cried while writing and reading it, remembering his particular brand of shyness, determination and sensitivity. He is so different from me in so many ways that it has sometimes been hard for me to know the best way to mother him. But now that he is close to graduating from high school, now that he is asking the big questions, now that he is wrestling with his existential demons…well, now he is right in my wheelhouse.Img_2747
